We are located at 15985 FM 1774 in Plantersville.
The department provides free training and all necessary equipment to perform the duties of a Volunteer Firefighter.
We carry Workmen's Comp. and life accident insurance policy.
Every year, property owners, neighbors, friends, and family are asked to support their local Volunteer Fire Department with the Annual Donation Drive for New and Active Membership. Our Requests are minimal for the important services provided to the community.
We gladly accept donations of any amount and these are greatly appreciated!
Our Fire Department depends on the support from the community to operate.
It becomes more of a challenge each year to meet the demands of the growth of our community, the cost of fuel, utilities, etc. and it becomes more important each year that every resident/property owner support your local Volunteer Fire Department.
Our department currently has 14 Volunteer Firefighters who have given countless hours in the past year to keep you, your loved ones, and your property safe. This group of volunteers serves us to the best of their abilities. We are continuously updating equipment and training to better serve the community safely and efficiently.
In addition to incident response, there are countless hours involved in maintaining and upgrading the department's trucks, buildings, equipment, training, and preparing for our Annual Bazaar, Annual Christmas Party, special events, etc. Through your continued support, we maintain one of the
FINEST OF ALL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS in Grimes County, Texas.
Plantersville-Stoneham Volunteer Fire Department is a current member in good standing with State Firemen's and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas.
